Lab PHISTA seeks to apply informatics solutions to address public health challenges of our times. We collaborate with colleagues across Texas and beyond to address emerging areas of importance in public health informatics, including:
- emergency preparedness & response
- reduction of health disparities
- disaster vulnerability
- disability informatics
Our lab members participated in three dozen peer review publications, book chapters, and 30 conference papers/presentations in public health informatics. See national media communication and quotes of our work. Currently our lab members include two fellows and four CPRIT scholars supported by State of Texas.
