Weekend Network Upgrades May Cause Intermittent Outages

From 10 pm, Saturday, April 19 to 6 am, Sunday, April 20, critical systems on the UTHealth computer network may experience intermittent outages during Information Technology’s planned network upgrades at the secondary data center.

It is advised that the university community avoid doing critical work using these systems during the planned upgrades.

Possible impact:
• Internet, business partner, Virtual Private Network (VPN), guest wireless and UTHealth phone lines traffic may be affected.
• Network disruptions may, in turn, interrupt access to critical systems including Blackboard, Canvas, iRIS, GMEIS, Abra, Documentum, FMS, HCM, MyUTH, Video Conferencing, X-Files, FILR, Allscripts, Axium, GE, MiPacs, SCM and Practice Partners.

The technical problems encountered with Summer Registration the morning of April 14 have been corrected. In an effort to assist students who had pending registration transactions, the Registrar's Office has manually initiated the registration process.

If you tried to register between midnight and 8:30 a.m. on April 14, please check your schedule on the student myUTH portal and make any schedule adjustments needed. If you had a hold or needed a permission code, the Registrar's Office was not able to complete your registration process. You will need to take steps to remove the hold or obtain the permission code in order to register for classes.

myUTH will open to all academic students for Summer 2014 registration at 12:00:01AM Monday, April 14.  Please be advised that tuition and fee statements will not be available until the first week in May and therefore no tuition payments can be accepted until that time.
