Fluorescence microscopy is one of the most important and widely used techniques in modern cell biological and biomedical research. Imaging and spectroscopy modalities relying on fluorescence have become indispensable tools for research from the molecular to the organismal level. In the last decade, major advances have enhanced the spatial and temporal resolution of both in vitro and in vivo imaging, allowing visualization of biological processes with unprecedented resolution and precision. The Center for Advanced Microscopy at UTHealth has recently obtained several cutting-edge instruments, and the aim of this collaborative workshop is to bring together scientists from across UTHealth to demonstrate how advanced fluorescence microscopy enables advances in research and beyond.
