The UTHealth Institute on Aging will host our Annual World Alzheimer’s Day webinar on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. The virtual event aims to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s related dementia and will feature an informative presentation by Dr. Carla M. Perissinotto entitled, “Loneliness and Cognitive Health”. Carla M. Perissinotto, M.D., M.H.S., is a Professor in the Division of Geriatrics, Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, and palliative medicine. She served as the associate chief for geriatrics clinical programs at UCSF from 2017 to 2021.
