MISSION STATEMENT

The Genomics Core at UTHealth aims to provide next-generation sequencing (NGS) and related services to the research community of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and other investigators in the Houston area. Services include, but are not limited to:

Sample preparation and other services not described below:

  • Free consultation with a sequencing expert before sample study design and submission
  • DNA/RNA fragmentation, quality, and size analyses
  • Library preparation and processing for NGS
  • DNA/RNA extraction (additional fee)
  • NGS training in bioinformatics
  • Post-sequencing consultation with a bioinformatics expert

  • Whole genome sequencing (WGS)
  • Whole transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq)
