The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and society. The office comprises four giving programs—Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Major and Principal Gifts, and Gift Planning, as well as offices in each of the six schools and major institutes.

Director, Gift Assurance 
The Director of Gift Assurance will work under the leadership of the Executive Director of Development Operations to provide strategic planning and proactive leadership to build and administer a comprehensive gift assurance program to ensure that gifts from donors, both endowed and non-endowed, are spent according to the donors’ intentions and the university’s best interests. As a collaborative and action-minded leader, the Director partners with department leadership, frontline fundraisers and operations team members to develop strategies that advance the department’s overall fundraising and constituent engagement goals. 

Assistant Director for Development and Presidential Events 
The Assistant Director for Development and Presidential Events plans and executes university events with a focus on events for the Office of Development and/or the Office of the President. The Assistant Director effectively manages events that enhance the visibility of the university and promotes a positive institutional image among a variety of constituents, including donors, students, faculty and staff, patients, alumni and the general public.

Senior Digital Marketing Specialist for Development Department 
UTHealth Houston is looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Development Communications team and manage the digital presence of the Office of Development. Primary responsibilities include maintaining fundraising websites/webpages using dotCMS and HTML/CSS, managing email services through Constant Contact, collaborating with team members to produce social media content, and evaluating the effectiveness of digital marketing and fundraising activities using metrics to improve performance.

University Communications Specialist in Public Affairs
This employee will serve as a key contributor to the University Communication team’s efforts to ensure faculty, staff, and students at all six schools have access to timely, accurate campus news that keeps them informed, inspired, safe, and in compliance with university policies and procedures. The University Communication Specialist will provide a broad range of communications that includes a heavy emphasis on writing, plus editing for AP style and the university’s own editorial and brand standards, project planning, and health education and/or promotional activities.

Senior University Communications Specialist in Public Affairs
This employee will serve as a lead contributor to the University Communication team’s efforts to ensure faculty, staff, and students at all six schools have access to timely, accurate campus news that keeps them informed, inspired, safe, and in compliance with university policies and procedures. The Senior University Communication Specialist will provide communications strategy, writing, editing for AP style and the university’s own editorial and brand standards, project planning, health education and/or promotional activities, and more. 

Assistant Director of Annual Giving in Development
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Assistant Director will work with colleagues and leadership across the UTHealth Houston system to identify fundraising opportunities, offer vision, strategic planning and implementation with an emphasis on retaining, renewing and upgrading annual giving donors.  Candidate with creativity, enthusiasm and experience working with donors and/or frontline fundraising is preferred.  Also, experience designing and launching donor engagement programs is a plus.

Director, Development - Major Gifts
The incoming Director will join a development team that has experienced unparalleled growth and notable fundraising success over the past 10 years. This strategic leader will have an opportunity to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising and advancement efforts for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship across our six schools. The Director will work in collaboration with other gift officers to focus on major gift fundraising, while also working closely with the gift planning staff.

Senior Development Coordinator in Alumni Engagement
We are currently seeking a Senior Development Coordinator for Alumni Engagement who will focus a large part of their efforts on our School of Nursing.  This requires skills in developing communications and helping to plan events to keep our nursing alumni engaged with UTHealth Houston.  This employee will be responsible for activities associated with UTHealth Houston School of Nursing programs, projects, and/or volunteers specializing in annual giving and alumni engagement, gift planning, major gifts, and events. This role plans and executes online and printed communications and helps to organize event activities of alumni programs. They work closely with internal and external partners to develop effective programming, events, communications and volunteer opportunities to deepen affinity for the institution.  This person will function as a centralized point of contact for the School of Nursing and their alumni.  They will also assist with e-newsletter campaigns.  The main focus is to assist with the implementation and growth of alumni networking and mentoring programming across the University.
