I. POLICY AND GENERAL STATEMENT
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston ensures equal educational opportunity for all qualified individuals with a disability, defined as:
"...any person who (i) has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities, (ii) has a record of such an impairment, or (iii) is regarded as having such an impairment."
The procedure outlined for students in HOOP Policy 101 Disability Accommodation shall be followed to address all disability accommodation requests.
Any student alleging discrimination on the basis of a disability is referred to the procedure outlined in HOOP Policy 183 Nondiscrimination, Anti-Harassment and Equal Opportunity.
