UTHealth welcomes visiting students and trainees from across the United States and around the world for participating in approved, short-term, non-compensated, research and educational collaboration, observation, and study activities.

To learn about the different categories of visitors at UTHealth, visit the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic and Research Affairs (EVPARA). Foreign national Observers, Trainees, and Visiting Scientists interested in joining UTHealth in one of the established visiting categories must complete a UTHealth Visitor Application to be processed by the Office of Global Health Initiatives (OGHI). OGHI offers application process guidelines1.

The Office of International Affairs will assist foreign national visitors with their non-immigrant visa options and processing once the visitors visa application has been approved.

(1) Please note that this application process does not apply for Volunteers (see “Volunteer Program Process”) or Postdoctoral Fellows (see “Office of Postdoctoral Affairs”).
