Research and Education Centers

From our neighbors next door to communities across the globe, we believe everyone deserves to live a healthy life. As the gateway to the body, health begins with the mouth.

At UTHealth School of Dentistry, improving oral health and overall health is the driving force behind each smile we treat, each discovery we make, and each student we train—and our education and research centers help maximize our impact.

Support students, alumni, and faculty in their research efforts and professional development.

Our mission to improve oral health and advance overall health relies on connecting three elements—patient care, research, and education—that have been central to our institution for more than a century. From our inception as the first dental school in Texas to today, our research and education centers have helped drive our mission and expand our impact.

These centers advance the overall work of the School of Dentistry; serving as places of collaboration, providing resources; and supporting our exceptional faculty, students, and alumni. By aligning expertise, technology, and data toward specific issues in oral health, our centers break down the barriers to scientific innovation to make groundbreaking discoveries a reality.

Our centers are also hubs for education. Not only do they help train students and fellows in advanced oral health research techniques, but they also equip our faculty with the tools they need to provide quality education for these students.

Our research and education centers are a key resource in creating innovative dental treatments, making groundbreaking discoveries, and training the exceptional leaders who will continue this work for years to come. Your support of Many Faces. One Mission. can help keep these centers on the leading edge of oral health care so they can continue bringing brighter smiles to our community.
