Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health trainee Dr. Rosandra Daywalker awarded scholarship for American Occupational Health Conference

Rosandra Daywalker, MD was awarded a full scholarship to attend the 2021 American Occupational Health Conference. The AOHC, which will be held virtually May 2-5, is the premier professional meeting for physicians and other health professionals who have an interest in the fields of occupational and environmental medicine (OEM).

Dr. Daywalker is pursuing her completion of occupational medicine residency and her PhD in Total Worker Health® at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health. Dr. Daywalker’s scholarship was awarded by the American College of Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) Special Interest Section and the Occupational and Environmental Health Foundation.

The OEM residency at the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health(SWCOEH),  within UTHealth School of Public Health, funds practicing physicians desiring to be qualified for careers in occupational and environmental medicine in private practice, industry, government, military or academia. The two-year program includes completion of requirements for a Master of Public Health degree, and 12 months of full-time experiential rotations in various aspects of professional practice in the field.
