Manager of Creative Services
As an Office of Public Affairs graphic designer, Lauren Mathews provides services that can include design and production of brochures, university-event invitations and display posters. In addition she is one reason the department can produce a variety of collateral materials in both a timely and cost effective manner. Some of her responsibilities include concept and design of brochures, invitations and other collateral materials for the university’s development and marketing efforts and other departments and schools, plus event materials. Lauren came to UTHealth after working as a graphic designer in the Community Relations office of Lamar Consolidated Independent School District in Rosenberg, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor of fine art degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
Senior Graphic Designer
As senior graphic designer for the Office of Public Affairs, J. Daniel Escareño supports the Offices of the President and Development by promoting the brand and identity of the university. Daniel’s artistic responsibilities for the Branding & Creative Services team include concept, design and production of brochures, invitations, collateral and event materials for the university’s development and marketing efforts in addition to supporting the needs of other departments and schools. Daniel came to UTHealth from H.L. Flake Security Hardware Company where he was senior designer in the marketing department, managing print and digital media projects. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from the Art Institute of Houston with a background in photography.
Jonathan Lopez is a graphic designer on the Branding & Creative Services team. He joined the UTHealth Office of Public Affairs in July 2015 after working at Xtickers Designs as lead designer and project manager. He is responsible for concept building, designing and making sure projects get executed and delivered in a timely manner. Jonathan has been working in the creative field since 2008 and has a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications from the University of Houston.
