Strategies to increase the diversity of conference presenters were employed to identify the outstanding group of course faculty. More than 50% of course faculty are women and 40% are from under-represented in medicine groups. Emphasis has been placed on including faculty of different disciplines including neurology, internal medicine, nursing practice (DNP) and research (Ph.D.), rehabilitation medicine, social work and case management. Faculty represent all regions of the continental United States (U.S.) as well as investigators born outside of the U.S. The stroke survivors and their caregivers who have confirmed participation are also diverse according to race/ethnicity, gender, disability status, and age.
