I. POLICY AND GENERAL STATEMENT

II. PROCEDURE

For guidelines regarding the recruitment of classified, management administrative and professional, academic administrative and professional, and faculty positions refer to the information found under the Hiring and Recruiting section of the Manager Resources page on the Human Resources website. 

If a need to utilize a search firm is determined to exist, and the cost exceeds $5,000, competitive bidding is required. Please refer to information found on the Procurement Services website.  UT System contracts established for executive recruitment are not subject to these requirements. For information regarding existing contracts, contact Procurement Services at 713-500-4700.

Prospective employees or candidates may be eligible for reimbursement of certain expenses related to the interview and/or relocation process. Refer to the Expense Reimbursement Team’s website for detailed information and procedures.

All prospective employees must fulfill and maintain all eligibility and identity requirements in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and HOOP Policy 14 Employment Eligibility.
