I. POLICY AND GENERAL STATEMENT

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston ("the University") promotes full and equal opportunity for all businesses to supply the goods and services needed to support the mission, administrative and logistical operation of the University.  The University commits to a good faith effort to increase purchases from and contract awards to Historically Underutilized Business firms consistent with the state's goals for HUB participation and overall economic development.  Individual University departments must make a good faith effort to increase purchases and contract awards to HUBs as suppliers of materials, equipment, and services.
