    We are committed to providing the highest quality education and training for the next generation of health professionals. Our integrated curriculum marries clinical and discovery science, offering our students hands-on learning from day one. With an MD program and six dual degree offerings, our programs foster strong collaborations across UTHealth and institutions throughout the Texas Medical Center. Our highly trained graduates—from physicians to researchers—will keep our communities healthy for generations to come.

  • Patient Care

    With expertise that spans medicine, our faculty take on the toughest cases and provide compassionate care tailored to the specific needs of each patient. We have over 2,000 clinicians certified in more than 80 specialties and subspecialties who address the health needs of the entire family at our UT Physicians clinics. Our faculty, residents, and students further provide emergent and inpatient care with our hospital and clinical partners throughout Houston.

  • Research

    With robust research programs that include clinical, translational, and discovery sciences, we are committed to confronting the most urgent health challenges of our time. Our faculty develop groundbreaking techniques in fields such as cardiology and orthopedics that save lives and reduce the long-term impact of disease and injury. Furthermore, the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases houses top researchers in fields like regenerative medicine, genetics, and imaging to study and prevent disease at the molecular level.
