Angela Ross, D.N.P., M.P.H.

Angela Ross, D.N.P., M.P.H., specializes in the implementation, integration and operation of clinical information technologies. As a former chief medical information officer and a senior project manager, she managed and implemented electronic health records for medical treatment facilities. Ross earned a B.S.N. from Dillard University, M.P.H. from Tulane University, M.S. in nursing informatics and a D.N.P. from the University of Maryland. She is certified by the American Nurses Association as a clinical nurse specialist in public health and by the Project Management Institute as a project manager.

Dean Sittig, Ph.D., focuses on the design, development, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of clinical information systems. Sittig is working to improve the understanding of both the factors that lead to success, as well as the unintended consequences associated with computer-based clinical decision support and provider order entry systems.

Jiajie Zhang, Ph.D., and his colleagues are at the forefront of the health information technology revolution. They are working on ways to mine medical data for information that could lead to advances in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease and to making medical records more accessible to caregivers. Zhang oversees the only academic program of biomedical informatics in the Lone Star State and its graduates hold leadership positions in major health care organizations. He has served as the principal investigator (PI) or co-PI on more than two dozen grants from diverse federal, state and private agencies. Zhang has presented at hundreds of organizations, academic institutions and conferences.
