The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth Houston by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and society. The office comprises four giving programs—Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Major and Principal Gifts, and Gift Planning.

Director of Donor Communications
UTHealth Houston is seeking a Director of Donor Communications to support fundraising efforts of the Office of Development and lead a team of writers. The Director of Donor Communications will serve as both a content creator and project manager, overseeing written projects including major gift proposals, annual giving solicitations, donor relations projects, and event materials. The incoming Director should have experience with various writing styles, including technical, creative, emotive, and persuasive writing. The Director will ensure all materials produced by the Donor Communications team are donor-centric and reflect the university's brand standards.

Director, Grateful Patient and Family Program
UTHealth Houston is seeking a Director, Grateful Patient and Family Program to oversee the implementation and management of UTHealth Houston's relationship-based Grateful Patient and Family Program. The program's goals are to build a pipeline of patient prospects and philanthropic revenue, engage physicians in the grateful patient process, and assist in transforming the philanthropic culture within the UTHealth Houston clinical environment. 

Director, Development - Major Gifts
UTHealth Houston seeks an established fundraiser to serve as a Director of Development, Major Gifts. This is a unique opportunity to join a philanthropy team helping support one of the most respected academic medical centers. The Director of Development, Major Gifts (Director), will play a key role on the development team. The Director will manage a portfolio of donors and look to raise $2 million annually. The Director will develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive fundraising and advancement efforts for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts, planned gifts, endowments, and annual giving programs to benefit the assigned service line or school within the UTHealth Houston. With the Campaign's conclusion, UTHealth Houston has an opportunity to steward existing donors and engage new audiences.

University Communications Specialist in Public Affairs
UTHealth Houston 
is looking for a University Communication Specialist to join our Public Affairs team. This employee will serve as a key contributor to the University Communication team’s efforts to ensure faculty, staff, and students at all six schools have access to timely and accurate campus news that keeps them informed, inspired, safe, and in compliance with university policies and procedures. The University Communication Specialist will provide a broad range of communications that includes a heavy emphasis on writing, plus editing for AP style and the university’s own editorial and brand standards, project planning, and health education and/or promotional activities.
