Stellar UTHealth Houston Nurses celebrated at 2023 'Salute to Nurses' Luncheon

From the classroom to the clinic, 12 nurses with UTHealth Houston were recognized Tuesday, May 2, at the Houston Chronicle’s annual “Salute to Nurses” luncheon. The event, held as part of observances for National Nurses Week, is dedicated to honoring the Top 200 nurses who have done exemplary work in the Houston area.

D. Bradley “Brad” McWilliams has made a transformational commitment of $22 million to UTHealth Houston School of Biomedical Informatics that will enable the school, one of the largest biomedical informatics programs in the world, to accelerate its mission to reshape the future of medicine and health care through artificial intelligence, data science, and informatics.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) surpassed its original $500 million fundraising goal, raising $534.4 million to improve the health of Houston and beyond by educating health professionals, advancing research, and providing the best practices in clinical care. The Many Faces. One Mission. campaign was publicly announced in April 2021 and is the university’s most ambitious philanthropic effort yet.
