Nurrohman named restorative dentistry and prosthodontics vice chair

Associate Professor Hamid Nurrohman, DDS, PhD, has been named vice chair of the Department of Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, effective Jan. 16.

Nurrohman joined the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry faculty in 2023. During his time, he has served as the director of Operative II.

Nurrohman holds a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Trisakti University in Indonesia and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Dental Science from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan, where he received advanced clinical training in cariology and operative dentistry with a focus on biomimetic bonded restorations. His postdoctoral research and teaching training at The University of California San Francisco were funded by the National Institutes of Health.
