(April 12, 2019) – Assistant Professor Francine K. Snow, DrPH, MSN, RN, Department of Graduate Studies, is co-author of an article reporting on presentations at the 2018 International Nursing Administration Research Conference in Atlanta, Ga.

Nelson-Brantley, H.V., Bailey, K.D., Batcheller, J., Bernard, N., Caramanica, L., & Snow, F. (2019). Grassroots to global: the future of nursing leadership. Journal of Nursing Administration, 49(3), 118-120.  doi: 10.1097/NNA.0000000000000723

Attendees from 38 U.S. states, Canada and China discussed the need for nurse leaders to be prepared to partner with those inside and outside of healthcare to create innovative, interprofessional care delivery models.  Participants called for new areas of research that can drive policy change to support nurse leaders in long-term care and the essential role of the nurse manager in creating optimal practice environments for quality outcomes.
