National Coming Out Day is an annual LGBTQIA+ awareness day observed on Oct. 11 to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in "coming out of the closet."

UTHealth Houston is preparing for LGBTQ+ History Month in October by spotlighting the coming out stories of our UTHealth Houston community. If you would like to share your story of coming out, what it feels like to be “out” at UTHealth Houston, or the experience of seeing others “out” across the university, please share your story.

These stories will anonymously be displayed across UTHealth Houston in celebration of National Coming Out Day. Responses are limited to 75 words.

Please share your story by 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26.

Contact Asia McCleary-Gaddy, PhD, Office of Diversity and Inclusion director, at Asia.T.McClearyGaddy@uth.tmc.edu, with any questions.
