UCSC September 2025 Meeting Highlights

• Guest Speakers from Public Affairs & Communications: Meredith Raine and Lisa Raynor-Keck shared updates on UTHealth Houston communication channels including The Insider, Axis TV, elevator signage, and the upcoming Insider Digest audio/video feature.
• Chief HR Officer Karen Spiller clarified RIF process and employee support — less than 0.5% impacted; affected employees receive six months of recruiter support and several weeks of career coaching. Promotions and merit increases remain active.
• New Business: Nena Fairbanks appointed as the new President’s Faculty Advisory Council representative. By-law edits (adding Treasurer-Elect and Secretary-Elect) will be voted on in November.
