Who is responsible for managing risks at UTHealth Houston?
Implementation of ERM requires action and responsibility at all levels of the institution.
As employees or representatives of the University, we are all responsible for managing risks and should take certain steps to address and manage risks.
Every UTHealth Houston faculty and staff should also understand the following:
The risks that relate to their roles and their activities
How the management of risk relates to the success of the institution
How the management of risks helps them to achieve their own goals and objectives
Their accountability for particular risks and how they can manage them
How they can contribute to continuous improvement of risk management
The need to report in a systematic and timely way any perceived new or emerging risks and any near misses/good catches or failures of existing control measures to senior management
