Event Description

The UTHealth Houston School of Public Health IDEA committee invites all faculty, staff, and students to join us for our first Journal & Film Club meeting. Please join us on Tuesday December 6, 12-1pm. Dr. Anabel Rodriguez from the San Antonio campus will facilitate the journal/film club discussion. During the meeting, we will watch a segment of The Least of These, a documentary that explores one of the most controversial aspects of American immigration policy: family detention. After viewing part of the film, a guided discussion will explore public health implications of family detention and the role of public health in immigration policy, particularly regarding children.
