Event Description

Dr. Robert Atmar, MD, Clinical Professor in Infectious Diseases, Medicine and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine brings us a stomach-turning June TEPHI Grand Rounds. Human noroviruses are the most common cause of acute gastroenteritis in the U.S., affecting persons of all ages. With the development of molecular diagnostics and increased surveillance, our understanding of their epidemiology has increased significantly over the past several years. Although no specific antivirals are available, vaccines for prevention are in clinical development.
