Join us for the annual Cheves Smythe Distinguished Lecture featuring Gerard Karsenty, M.D., Ph.D., of Columbia University. Dr. Karsenty's research involves the study of skeletal biology from development to physiology. His laboratory also discovered osteocalcin as a bone-derived hormone needed for insulin secretion, glucose homeostasis, testosterone secretion by Leydig cells of the testes and male fertility, brain development, cognition and adaptation to exercise.
