Event Description
In celebration of National Mentoring Month, Karen Jaw-Madson will join UTHealth Houston on Thursday, Jan. 27, to share different insights about mentoring to help the community leverage the best of their careers and leadership development.
The discussion is part of the Women in Leadership Seminar Series, and will be held via Zoom from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Participants can register to attend online.
Karen Jaw-Madson is principal of Co.-Design of Work Experience, author of “Culture Your Culture: Innovating Experiences at Work,” founder of Future of Work platform A New HR, executive coach, and instructor at Stanford University’s Continuing Studies Program.
In this session Jaw-Madson will address the possibilities and myths about mentoring to give attendees new ways of thinking and steps they can take to advance their careers. A former corporate executive, she is known as a versatile leader across multiple industries with experience developing, leading, and implementing numerous organizational initiatives around the globe.
The Women in Leadership Series, now in its sixth year, is sponsored by university administration through Human Resources Organizational and Talent Development in collaboration with the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development.
The series exists to provide an environment for employees to learn about the experiences, challenges, and achievements of women in leadership. Open to all UTHealth Houston faculty, staff and students of any gender, participants gain leadership insights and techniques while also connecting with colleagues from across the institution.
