Event Description
Chagas disease is an underdiagnosed and neglected disease across the globe. This webinar will highlight current efforts across the US to diagnose and treat Chagas disease in at-risk populations. We will also discuss current screening and diagnostic protocols that are needed to help us better understand the real prevalence of this underdiagnosed disease. Dr. Paula Stigler Granados is Associate Professor & Division Head for the Environmental Health Sciences in the School of Public Health at San Diego State University. Her main areas of interest include Chagas disease, global health, public health policy, and neglected diseases.
