Speaker Bio: Dr. Steven DeVries is a Professor in the Departments of Ophthalmology and Neuroscience at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. DeVries’ research focuses on the mammalian retina, an ideal tissue for studying how the nervous system processes information due to its laminar structure with inputs that are readily stimulated by patterns of light.
