Speaker Bio: Dr. Marissa Scavuzzo is an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Glial Sciences and the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Scavuzzo’s lab is captivated by the mechanisms that regulate cell fates and states – not just how a cell acquires their identity, but how they maintain it against all odds when challenged.
