Confidentiality is our priority
We offer free 24/7 behavioral health support exclusively for first responders and health care workers in Texas. Call us for free and confidential peer support, mental health counseling, and assistance with treatment navigation.
What do we do?
Peer Support
Peer Support provides a bridge. People with the same jobs and similar experiences are often the ones we want to reach out to first when we need advice. Peers are often a key in our survival as first responders or health care workers.
Assistance
Assistance is provided in the form of connections to specialized resources, mental health professionals, and actionable information.
Training
Training is offered to individuals and organizations in the form of online modules, webinars, or in-person presentations covering requested mental health and resilience topics. These trainings are made with us in mind.
Counseling
Counseling is available directly through our program via telehealth at no cost.
Helpline
The helpline is the portal to access all the services we provide. It is 24/7 phone access to our services.
As a retired paramedic with 21 years of experience, our counselor has the understanding to work with both first responders and health care providers. We also have a referral list of providers around Texas who are/were members of the peer group we serve. Their services can include telehealth or in-person visits. Service cost outside of our program varies.
Behavioral health training
The First Responders Educational Campaign is a free, research-based learning service implemented to provide first responders across Texas with information regarding substance use and mental health disorders.
Our materials cover mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and compassion fatigue, as well as substance use issues, including alcohol use and opioid use disorders, among others.
Our self-paced, online continuing education (CE) trainings provide first responders with the tools and information necessary to recognize and address symptoms of substance use and mental health disorders in themselves or others. In-person trainings and advocacy provide group learning sessions for departments seeking live presentations and Q&A sessions.
