UTHealth offers a number of nursing mother rooms (locations) throughout campus for faculty and staff mothers who needs a private location to express milk during the workday. The rooms are card-reader accessible by having your ID badge coded for access.
Employees are eligible if they have worked for the State of Texas at least 12 months and have worked at least 1,250 hours for the State of Texas during the 12-month period immediately preceding the leave.
The University provides parental leave for eligible employees. Parental leave may not exceed 12 weeks (or 480 hours) during the 12-month period following the commencement of leave.
