Mission Statements & Student Achievement Metrics

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) evaluates success with respect to student achievement consistent with its mission, which is to prepare healthcare professionals in order to advance the quality of human life by enhancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease and injury. The Deans of each of UTHealth Houston’s six schools are responsible for establishing and evaluating student success criteria (program outcomes) specific to approved degree or certificate programs, by location and/or mode of delivery as appropriate, and disaggregated to the extent data are available. Program outcomes and processes by which schools review student achievement data are indicated with a check mark in Table below.
