Dr. Ling Tong received a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of South China in 2017. He joined the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and completed a PhD in Biomedical and Health Informatics. He is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Texas Institute for Restorative Neurotechnologies Lab under the supervision of GQ Zhang. (https://tongling.github.io/)

Research
Dr. Tong's research interest is in health care population studies. He developed quantitative methods to analyze the gaps and inequities in telemedicine and health care adoption in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, He is interested in AI applications to discover the utilization of AI-assisted diagnosis. His goal is to explore the interactions between AI models and Electronic Health records and how AI makes precision medicine possible.
