Dr. Pijush Kanti Dutta Pramanik is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Precision Health, McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, UTHealth Houston, and is currently on sabbatical leave from his position as Associate Professor at Galgotias University, India. He received his M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Tripura University, India, and his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India. His research spans AI/ML, biomedical informatics, medical image analysis, federated learning, distributed systems, crowd computing, and healthcare applications.

Research

At UTHealth Houston, my research focuses on developing artificial intelligence and machine learning methods for precision medicine and healthcare informatics. My work aims to leverage large-scale biomedical and clinical data to support disease prediction, diagnosis, and personalized healthcare. I am particularly interested in trustworthy AI, federated learning, medical image analysis, and data-driven approaches that enable secure, scalable, and clinically relevant health analytics.
