Lisa Merkl brings more than 25 years of award-winning experience in public relations, media relations, and strategic communications to the University Editing Services team. Her career spans higher education, health care, corporate communications, and agency work. Lisa joined Public Affairs in August 2025, and has been at UTHealth Houston since March 2025. She holds a Master of Arts in public relations studies and communication from the University of Houston, where she graduated summa cum laude.
