Faculty & Staff Information

Our office is a centralized resource for UTHealth faculty and staff who are interested in soliciting funds from private foundations and corporations.

On behalf of UTHealth, we manage a large portfolio of foundations and corporations. We encourage faculty and staff to contact us before visiting with, or applying to, any private foundation or business so that we can update you on the status of UTHealth’s relationship with the foundation or business. There may be current or on-going presidential interaction, limitations on the number of applications that may be made, particular donor preferences, etc. Please see Hoop Policy 203 for more information on the solicitation, acceptance, processing, acknowledgement and stewardship of gifts.

Services we provide include:

• Meet with you to learn about your project
• Identify potential funding sources
• Develop strategies for approaching donor prospects
• Plan and coordinate proposals and solicitations
• Ensure that proposals are aligned with institutional priorities

We also work in collaboration, as needed, with the Office of Technology Management, the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration,
and the Office of Strategic Industry Initiatives.
