Global Health Opportunities & Programs

  • Student Society for Global Health - The Student Society for Global Health was founded in the Spring of 2010 by students at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health dedicated to promoting the understanding that an individual's health is tied to the health of his or her community.
  • Global Health Certificate - For public health students interested in exploring how globalization is affecting the determinants of health, the health status of the population, and the capacity of nation-states to deal with the determinants of health and disease.
  • International Student Practicum Opportunities - Public health issues are not limited to boundaries and borders, and neither are our student practicum opportunities. A sizeable number of students participate in international opportunities to gain public health practice experiences each year.
