Annual Performance Management Process Training for Employees
During August and September, Human Resources will offer two training sessions related to the performance appraisal process. The two courses are described below. They will be held virtually. You can register in Learn2Succeed for these courses.
Performance Appraisal Refresher: This session is designed for people leaders of classified employees. After this session, you should feel confident in providing your employees with well-documented performance appraisals; applying the rating system to the jobs you manage; having a productive discussion with your employee about their performance appraisals; and knowing where to find resources to help you with performance appraisals. Prior to attending the session, please review one of the job descriptions you manage and think about what different performance levels look like for that job. If you are an over-achiever, you can come to the session with notes on the different performance levels (unsatisfactory, improvement needed, fully meets expectations, exceeds expectations, exceptional).
Self-Assessment Best Practices: This session is designed for individual contributors. After this session, you should feel confident in your understanding of the performance appraisal process at UTHealth Houston, writing your self-assessment, and knowing where to find resources to help you with the performance appraisal process. Prior to attending the session, please take time to list your strengths, identify where you keep information on your performance throughout the year, and think about any opportunities for improvement you've had during the year.
The classes will be held on Wednesdays from noon – 1 pm in August and September. Specific dates are below.
