Educational Awards Guidelines

Application Process:

  1. When applications are open, the deadline will be published here.
  2. The initiation process is started by the eligible Classified staff parent who has been employed at the university for at least 1 year using the link: https://apps.uth.edu/ucscEA/
  3. Once the student is nominated, they will receive an email invitation to log in using their Google email and start the application process.

A Completed Application Will Include:

  • High School Transcript.
  • SAT or ACT score.
  • Resume- (Record of volunteerism, awards, honors, or extracurricular activities.)
  • Acceptance Letter- (The college must be accredited and in the United States.)
  • Career Goals Essay- (A one-page essay on career goals.)
  • Two (2) letters of reference from a professional (teacher, counselor, employer).
  • W-9 form to ensure check processing in a reasonable period. (To be signed by the student.)
  • Photograph (Graduation photos are preferred)

This document will need to be approved. Once approved, the student will receive an email notification indicating that the application is complete and under review.
