The Educational Awards Committee oversees the entire Educational Awards process. The UCSC is the only organization that presents awards of this kind.
The Committee will be responsible for:
- Raising funds annually to be awarded to eligible children of classified employees who worked-full time for at least the prior year at UTHealth
- Recruiting donations for items to use in an auction, bakes sales, and/or creating baskets
- Processing and verifying completeness of all applications
- Arranging recognition of the award recipients
The committee chair is responsible for:
- Collecting all applications
- Choosing the selection committee members that will review and rank the applications
- Notifying the applicants of the outcome of the selection committee
Time commitment: Begins immediately for fundraising purposes and then increases during the application process in the Spring.
