Sexual Misconduct Prevention
All students and employees receive training in sexual misconduct prevention during their orientation and again each fiscal year. This training covers:
- Identifying sex discrimination
- Understanding different types of sexual misconduct
- How to file a complaint
- What protections are afforded to individuals who have experienced sex discrimination
- Support services and available resources

The University of Texas Police at Houston also offers safety presentations throughout the year, including:

- Active Shooter Prevention and Response (encompasses Behaviors of Concern)
- CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Non-Escalation, De-Escalation, and Crisis Management (NEDECM)
