For UTHealth employees – Employee Self Service instructions

To add or update a personal cellphone number:

  1. Log into Employee Self Service (ESS), found at the top navigation bar of Inside UTHealth.
  2. Under My Personal Information, click on Phone Numbers.
  3. Once you are on the Phone Numbers page, you can click on the Add a Phone Number button and a new line will appear.
  4. On the new line click the drop down box under the Phone Type column, select Mobile and then type in your phone number. When typing, simply enter the numbers – the system will automatically add any dashes or slashes to keep all numbers consistent.
  5. Click Save.
  6. A Save confirmation notice will appear and you can click OK. Your new phone number has been added.

For UTHealth students – myUTH instructions

Note: UTHealth Alert is listed as UTH Alert in myUTH.

To add or update a personal cellphone number:

  1. Log into myUTH and navigate to the Student Center.
  2. Select Phone Numbers from the drop down list in the Personal Information
  3. Click the >> button and a list of phone numbers will appear.
  4. If a Phone Type of is listed, edit the phone number by clicking on the phone number. Click the Save button when edits are complete
  5. If a UTH Alert phone number does not exist, add one by selecting the Add A Phone Number
  6. A new row will appear. Select UTH Alert from the Phone Type drop down list and enter the phone number in the appropriate field.
  7. Click Save.

For residents and clinical fellows – Graduate Medical Education Information System (GMEIS) Instructions

To add or update a personal cellphone number, pager or personal email address:

  1. Go to New Innovations and click on the Resident/Fellow link.
  2. Click on Demographic and Biographic Information→ update (or add) cellphone number, pager, personal email address → save changes.

Note: you can click on either pager or cellphone and make changes to one or all items.

  1. Click Save.

For UTHealth official guests

To add or update a personal cellphone number:

  1. Visit the Everbridge guest portal at https://iam.uth.tmc.edu/guestadmin/login.faces.
  2. Login with your UTHealth login ID.
  3. If you elect to opt out of receiving emergency alerts, check the opt out
  4. If you elect to receive emergency alerts, enter your cellphone in the format xxx-xxx-xxxx.
  5. Click Update.

For a member of the general public

To add or update your contact information to UTHealth Alert:

  1. Visit the Everbridge public portal at https://member.everbridge.net/index/892807736722093#/login.
  2. Click Sign Up.
    • Create a username and fill in Sign Up blanks (First name, last name, etc.).
  3. Click Create Your Account
    • Fill in blanks for your profile (email, cell phone number, etc.).
  4. Click Save and Continue
  5. Review your profile and click
