Application Information

UTHealth has been generously awarded a CPRIT research training grant entitled Biomedical Informatics, Genomics and Translational Cancer Research Training Program (BIG-TCR). Both the predoctoral and postdoctoral BIG-TCR fellowship applications are now open. Please encourage your trainees to apply.

Application forms for both predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships are attached to this email. All application materials, including the application form, curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, and letters of recommendation, must be sent to [email protected] before 11:59 pm of October 31, 2025. The selected candidates will be notified of their interview schedule in 5 to 10 business days following the submission deadline. A detailed interview procedure will be included in the next steps. Both primary and co-mentors are welcome to support their trainees during the interview.

Training Programs

Postdoctoral Fellowship

An interdisciplinary program offering dual mentorship, NIH-level support, and training in cancer genomics and translational research.

Predoctoral Fellowship

Offers tuition support, stipend, and dual mentorship in biomedical informatics and cancer research for UTHealth Houston doctoral students.

Summer Internship

A 10-week paid program for undergraduates to gain hands-on experience in cancer research, genomics, and biomedical informatics.
