Our nationally certified Personal Trainers create personalized fitness programs based on your goals, fitness level, schedule, and medical history. Whether you are just getting started, returning to exercise, or looking to improve performance, our trainers can help you build confidence, improve technique, and stay motivated.

Important: New personal training clients must begin with an Initial Consultation and Fitness Assessment before purchasing or starting personal training sessions.

  • Personal Training

    Personal training sessions are designed around your goals, fitness level, schedule, and medical history. Your trainer will guide you through safe and effective resistance training, cardiovascular conditioning, and progress-based workouts.

  • Initial Consultation & Fitness Assessment

    Start here if you are new to personal training. The fitness assessment helps identify strengths, opportunities, and attainable goals before building a personalized training plan.

    Includes:

    • Body composition analysis
    • Cardiovascular endurance test
    • Muscular strength/endurance test
    • Flexibility test
    • Body fat percentage

    Eligibility: UTHealth Houston students, Rec Center members, and eligible TMC members

  • Equipment Orientation

    Equipment Orientation is a free service designed to help UTHealth Houston students and Rec Center members feel more confident in the weight room and cardio area.

    Participants will learn:

    • Equipment adjustments
    • Proper biomechanics
    • Basic safety guidelines
    • How to use cardio and strength equipment effectively

    Orientations may be completed one-on-one or in small groups and are led by a Personal Trainer.

    Eligibility: UTHealth Houston students and Rec Center members
    Cost: Free
    Availability: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:30 PM

Package Expiration & Cancellation Policy

Personal training packages are expected to be completed within the following timeframes:

Package Completion Window
1 Session 1 week
4 Sessions 4 weeks
8 Sessions 8 weeks

Once the package timeframe has expired, unused sessions may not be used or considered for refunds.

Participants must cancel with their trainer at least 4 hours before the scheduled session.

Cancellations made within 4 hours of the scheduled session may still be charged as a completed session. Excessive cancellations or schedule changes may affect future personal training eligibility.
