Biography

Dr. Ashutosh Tripathi received his PhD degree in 2018 from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. His first postdoctoral research was focused on HIV and antiretroviral mediated microglia activation and neuroinflammation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, NE, USA. He was awarded a pilot grant from TRNAMH, Johns Hopkins. Then he moved to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and currently working to understand the role of immune cells and inflammatory pathways in stress induced depression. Research Description

Dr. Tripathi’s current research project is focused on understanding the inflammatory pathways in stress induced depression and investigating the therapeutic potential of various immune signaling targets. His fields of expertise include pre-clinical animal research, clinical research and transgenic mouse models.
