Biography

Dr. Shravan Kumar Paswan Received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacology) jointly from the Department of Pharmacology CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute and Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus Lucknow, India. He did his master's in pharmacy with the specialization in Pharmacology. He was awarded the Fellowship for pursuing his Ph.D. from University Grant Commission, New Delhi, India.

Research Description

My early career contributions were focused on investigating the mechanisms of wound healing. I also studied the protective effects of SIRT1 activators on sarcopenia and cognitive impairment in aged animals. Furthermore, I also studied cardiovascular pharmacology where my main area of research was the pharmacological effect of Vitamin D in pulmonary hypertension in a preclinical rat model. My current research focuses on the heart-brain axis in stroke and dementia.
