Biography

Dr. Wuguang Lu graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2016 with a PhD in Biology. Subsequently, He joined School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiaotong University as a postdoctoral fellow. In his current role, Dr. Lu focus on explicating the relationship between the biophysical properties of ion channels such as Nav, Kv and TRP, and clinical symptoms of diseases by using protein purification, molecular biological and electrophysiological approaches, and peptides probes.

Education

Previous Postdoc Position: Shanghai Jiaotong University

Ph.D, Shanghai Jiaotong University

Advisor

Michael X. Zhu, PhD

Research Description

Dr. Lu is currently primarily researching the role and related mechanisms of ligand-gated ion channels such as TRP, Nav channels in tumor development and liver fibrosis. Dr. Lu utilizes bioinformatics techniques combined with animal test and molecular biology techniques to analyze the expression changes of relevant ion channels in clinical samples and their roles in disease occurrence.
