Biography
Dr. Basudeb Das is from West Bengal, India and received his B.Sc. (2012) and M.Sc. (2014) degrees in Human Physiology from Vidyasagar University. He served as Project Assistant in the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur from 2014- 2016. He graduated from National Institute of Technology Rourkela in 2022 with a Ph.D. in Life Science. His Ph.D. work was focused on exploring regulatory role of small non-coding RNAs (miRNA/piRNA) in cancer development, progression and therapy resistance. Dr. Das is working as a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; and his research focuses on exploring regulatory role of enhancer-derived non-coding RNAs (eRNAs) in gene regulation and cell fate. Dr. Das also investigates the underline molecular mechanisms behind dysregulation of eRNAs in human cancers.
