Research Description

  • Investigating the molecular mechanism linking insulin resistance to AD in a physiologically relevant in-vitro cellular model from AD transgenic mice, so that we can analyze the sequential cascade of molecular events resulting in the onset of AD pathology.
  • Mitochondrial therapy for AD and aging. The use of isolated viable mitochondria from stem cells as therapy for AD or to slow the progression of aging.
  • Investigating the effect of brain damage on tau aggregation. our goal is to investigate if tau aggregation is a common response to any brain insult, or to a specific region damage.
