Our Research
The Center for Outcomes Research at the UTHealth Houston is an interdisciplinary research hub dedicated to advancing evidence-based medicine and improving patient-centered outcomes. The proposed center focuses on evaluating and improving the effectiveness, safety, and quality of healthcare across diverse specialties. The Center for Outcomes Research addresses complex healthcare challenges by integrating expertise from multiple fields, including medicine, nursing, public health, and health policy. Our research spans various aspects of patient care, from evaluating treatment efficacy and safety to optimizing healthcare systems and processes. The Center is part of the Outcomes Research Consortium.

The Center for Outcomes Research at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) envisions a future where patient-centered outcomes and evidence-based medicine drive transformative improvements in global healthcare. Our approach emphasizes synergies across medical disciplines, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of patient outcomes and the development of integrated, actionable insights that improve care across the continuum. The Center for Outcomes Research at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) will be dedicated to advancing patient-centered outcomes and evidence-based medicine through interdisciplinary research. We will focus on improving healthcare, patient safety, and quality by integrating expertise across multiple specialties of medicine, nursing, public health, and health policy. Our mission is to drive transformative research that enhances patient care and healthcare systems locally, statewide, and globally, while setting new standards in multispecialty outcomes research and translating findings into actionable solutions.
